Gartcairn Juniors 8 v 1 Shotts Bon Accord

Exsel league cup

Shotts were simply blown away at MTC park today by a superb display of passing and clinical finishing from the Airdrie men. The super first division outfit fell behind early on when Gary Millar stroked home from close range, It was 2 v 0 shortly after when Millar pounced after great work from strike partner Jordon Love. Millar went on to add number 3 and number 4 before the break with the Cairn midfield and defence dominating all over the Park

HT 4 v 0

Millar took only 6 minutes of the second half to score his 5th in what can only be described as a phenominal competitive debut however the team where really laying goals on a plate for the lively hitman., Shotts pulled a goal back from a very soft penalty before Chris dolan restored the 5 goal lead shortly after. Yami Messanjo then entered the field and again the Shotts defence had no answer to the attacking football on show from the Cairn. Messanjo added 2 of which one was a very well taken penalty leaving the final score a brilliant 8 v 1

Cairn now sit joint top of the group with local rivals Wishaw who we welcome to MTC Park on Wednesday with a 7pm KO
